Supporting Local

We care about our community, and here at KPO we understand the need for sustainable, local products to help small businesses and the wider Winchester community. Therefore, whenever we can we stock and provide spaces for local businesses to flourish and grow. Not only do they provide a wonderful array of high  quality stock, by purchasing these items you are helping support local vendors. This has been especially important during the Covid 19 pandemic.

On this page, we've highlighted these local businesses, with links to their pages so you can see the amazing work each of them do to stock us here at KPO.

Chalkstream Foods 🔗

ChalkStream sources fine English trout on the world famous Test and Itchen Rivers in Hampshire.  The Test and Itchen Rivers in Hampshire are the two most iconic chalk streams in the world.  It was on these rivers that the art of dry fly fishing was perfected in the 1800s. Chalkstream is dedicated to sustainability, having a policy of using sustainable packaging, and reducing the use of packaging, wherever possible.

Summerdown  🔗

Summerdown have been growing, harvesting and distilling their very own Black Mitcham peppermint for almost three decades, all from their family farm in the Hampshire countryside. Providing a delightful mix of Minty treats from tea to chocolate, Summerdown works to ensure the farm remains nutrient rich and the site to provide spaces for animals, bees, and humans alike!

 The Grange Wine 🔗

The Hampshire based home with centuries of history began their journey into making wine in 2011. The first batch, released in 2018 has led to bottles of exquisite sparkling wine. Each one expresses the unique climate and chalky terrain of the vineyard. Each is a testament to the painstaking skill of the growers and makers and we carry this wine as our sole English Sparkling wine due to our love of it.

Hill Farm Juice 🔗

Apple juice has been pressed at Hill Farm since the 1970's as part of a substantial fruit farm supplying apples and pears to the supermarkets. Due to the beautiful micro-climate in the area of the South Downs National Park, pears and apples grow wonderfully, and make an excellent addition to the KPO shelf.
